How Fossil Fuels Affect the Environment - Climate Money Watchdog Podcast

 

 

I was happy to join Dina Rasor and Greg Williams on their Climate Money Watchdog podcast to discuss fossil fuel subsidies. Long ago Dina founded the Project on Military Procurement, which later became the Project on Government Oversight (POGO). I have used POGO's work for years, including quite detailed analyses of oil and gas leasing practices in the US.  

 

Today's conversation focused on the many forms of subsidies to fossil fuels, why addressing them is critical in decarbonizing the economy, and recent work looking at oil and gas subsidies in the Permian Basin and in California.
